New York City

I know I have not given me time to write, but after this weekend of visiting NYC. I must comment on it immediately.
WOW !!

It really has it all and then some. I was there for only one night but what an experience it was. At first as we are driving into the city and I am studying the map. I start to realize the geographical eliteness of that whole are and the different islands and rivers, quite nice. Then the skyscrapers just start getting bigger and bigger as you get closer.

events: sight seeing around time square, like being in a human "ant farm" people just going everywhere, down to little Italy for a nice dinner, italian of course (no need to state that it was one of the best italian sauces, ever) , then of course some bars, some club attempts and back to the hotel at four in the morning.

Will get in on the details about this adventure later....

Highly recommend for those who dare.

Leaving for the USA

I will be boarding a plane to Orlando in about 4 hours and Im really excited. My old world has been opening back up for the past week. Making contacts with old friends I have not seen for a long time, actually too long.

But this trip is the start of many more since I now have the visa to travel freely. The biggest upside here is that I finally get to spend some time with my dad who has been living in the states for 5 years now.

It is funny to look back to the last time I was in Tallahassee, Florida. I must say that I return a young man not a silly boy.

This young man is going to be scared shitless when he has to go through custom in Orlando International after all that has happened. The treatment that welcomed me on my last trip is something I wish no one. This time things are different.

look forward to meeting everyone...

Big Intreview 2mro at the Embassy

I have been gathering information for my Visa interview at the US embassy in Iceland tomorrow. It seems that the US has found a non prejudgesist system. That is that the application for a visa in all its parts is so complex that all people wiht IQ lower than 85 have no chance to enter. Then on the other hand someone who fills theirs out perfectly must be under suspicion for doing the impossible.

I really hope all goes well and that my all out honesty will be recognized and credited. The situation now is that Im less likely to get a travel visa due to two things:
1) my dad lives in the US
2) I go to school in Hungary

both of these support their theory that due to this Im more likely to IMMIGRATE to the US.
This is of course NOT true and what doctor do you know of who is hiding illegally in the US ???

wish me luck

States here I come

Well now it has become almost definite that I will be returning to the States. I just heard from the Embassy today and all my paperwork was accepted. That is my name is clear from all terror, black and what other lists Homeland Security might have on their hands.

That being said, all I have to do is reapply for my visa (sure enough my previous application is from 2003), do an interview and then get it printed into my new passport. This listed its still not 100% but only a matter of procedure before I order my flight.

Speaking of flights, Iceland runs one of the most ridiciluos operations with this flight business. Making a long story short "MONOPOLY". There is only on airline that flies to the States and now they want to charge me 91,700 ISK or $1500 for return flight. What the hell is going on...

Best thing is that it used to be the same for Europe flights until recently Iceland Express (low faire airline) started to compete on the market. Once that happened prices dropped dramatically !!!

best thing is that Im going to pay with a smile and take it in the ass...

Hungaroring Formula One

The Hungarian GP was this weekend and I was invited to the Icelandic F1 show as a guest. As I had just recently started following the Formula, I had to count on some attrusted collegues to get the inside scoop on whats going on in this great sport. Abhishek was my main hook-up this time.

So funny, he sent me a couple of e-mails and some links to F1 sites and before I got in the studio I was up and ready to discuss F1. I quickly noticed how the grueling studies in medical school came in as a great asset. I was able to manage a great deal of information about F1 in a short amount of time and be sharp as any other F1 follower. The big brain has been trained to perform and it showed this time.

Everything worked out great and I enjoyed every minute of the preparation and show. I have already been mentioned for next years Hungarian GP, as a guest again.

I am waiting for a video clip of this event so I can put in link somwhere so that all can see. Will get that in as soon as I get it.

p.s. I really enjoyed the spotlight and could imagine myself doing more of it if I get a chance. Will let you guys see the video and give me your opinion about performance, initial feedback has been positive.
