a closer look ...


It has been decided that the destination of my summer holiday is going to be Montenegro. After having looked at many interesting options this place was the pick of the litter.

The rough plan is to be there the last week of august and the first of september. No exact dates have been determined but a rough outline is as follows:

travel: Air travel from budapest via Montenegro Airlines to Podgorica or via SkyEurope to Dubrovnik, Croatia (which is only about 30km from the border), SkyEurope is more likely the cheaper option, estimated about 30k HUF back and fourth



accomodation: renting a house or apt down at the coast. there are many of these available. Will be more relaxed feel than a hotel. Plus just being able to take a trip to the grocery store and filling the place of food and Beverages. Price of this is not known at this time, just depends on how big a place to get, depending on the number of travelers. One place that holds 5 people in a cool place was 100 euro for the night, so very moderate pricing per person.

location: not completely nailed down, but most likely the northern part of the country (Herceg Novi). Want to be as far away from the albanian border as possible. Plus in that are are the most things to do other than lie on the beach all day. The beach is both sandy and rocky

price: It seems that the prices in Montenegro are similar to Hungary (maybe a little cheaper), so this does not have to expensive. Just depending on activities, If I know myself correctly I will be up for scuba diving, river rafting, renting a motorcycle and shopping.



So now is good time for those who are interested to check in !!!

Im expecting a great trip to this beautiful little country with a great heritage for tourism. Just what anyone needs to rest up for the upcomming school year.
