Midnite Sun Open Catastrophe

Im finally back from my weekend journey around the southeast of Iceland with Zita. The trip started on friday and sails were set for laugarás, where Kristín Lilja is providing her medical services for the summer. the plan was to join this midnite golf tournament and we sure did. before tee off at around eight it was just freezing cold and everything got worse from there. the golfing was horrible, the whole group was not up to par. I sucked scoring a career high triple X, for those that don'tnt know what an X is in golf; it´s when you don´t finish a whole because there is no chance of gaining points. On top of all this it started raining and I just wanted to get home... Looking a lot like Tin Cup in the movie, trying 3 times to cross the water at 180 meters unsuccesfully, instead of taking the safe bet.

next day we were off to Vík í Mýrdal, to see our other beloved doctor friend Hanna. It also did not start well. the weather was terrible and Hann calls up when we are about 30 mins away and says "oh, there has been an emergency and I have to go to reykjavík with the ambulance!". we are talking almost 200 km one way. So I was thinking "great a real rainy day at Vík just sitting around for 4 hours waiting for hanna". As Im thinking this the ambulance flies by going the other direction.
luckily as soon as we get to Vík Hanna calls and says that she is comming back. We hang out for the nite. the next day is our biggest tourist day checking out most of the extravegant sites in the bright summer weather.

I recommend checking out the new pics in the photospace "sjón er sögu ríkari"
